A musical poem inspired by Shaun Tan’s graphic novel The Arrival, directed by Wojciech Koscielniak.
A moving story about refugees and emigrants who decide to leave their country in search of a better life, free from violence and fear. They embark on a long journey, both literally and metaphorically, to start again. The new homeland can be unfriendly, adapting to the new reality is difficult and the emigrants are accompanied by fear, longing, loneliness and alienation. However, the performance gives hope for a happy ending to the story of the eponymous visitor and shows that it is not worth giving up one’s dreams. The credit for this goes to the creators of the show and the fantastic young actors: spontaneity, vocal preparation, choreography, playing with props, coherence of plot, music and image create a performance that will be remembered for a long time.
