On 11 January 2026, the weekly magazine Polityka presented the 33rd edition of the Polityka Passports, one of the most important cultural awards in Poland.

After 10 years, Polityka Passports returned to Telewizja Polska, which is also a co-organiser of the Gala. The Gala will be hosted by Gabi Drzewiecka and Bartek Chaciński.

The Polityka Passports are awarded in seven categories: Film, Stage, Visual Arts, Popular Music, Classical Music, Digital Culture and Books. The awards have been presented by the Polityka weekly magazine since 1993. They were conceived by Zdzisław Pietrasik, the long-time head of the culture department. For 33 years, they have been awarded to young creators and artists for outstanding achievements. For 23 years, a special award has been given to a Culture Creator. It is awarded to a person or institution that contributes in a special and non-standard way to the promotion of Polish culture in the country and abroad. This year, for the third time, the winner of the Polityka Readers’ Passport will be announced. In over 30 years of the award’s existence, the Polityka Passport Jury has honoured 210 winners, including 259 artists and creators (counting bands), and distinguished 31 Creators of Culture.
