The 45th anniversary edition of the International Country & Folk Picnic was one of the biggest musical events of the summer in Masuria. The festival, which has been attracting country music fans from Poland and abroad to Mrągowo for over four decades, took place on 24–25 July 2026 at the amphitheatre on Lake Czos.

The highlight of the anniversary edition was the 45th Anniversary Gala Concert, during which artists performed the greatest hits from the history of the Mrągowo festival in new arrangements. We also heard a set entitled ‘Hits from the Mrągowo Picnics’, featuring songs that have created the event’s unique atmosphere over the years.

Among the invited artists are Sławek Uniatowski, Kasia Moś, Lanberry, Andrzej Rybiński, Filip Lato, Mateusz Ziółko, Wojtek Cugowski and Krystyna Giżowska. In Mrągowo, they not only presented their own interpretations of country hits but also performed in duets with other artists from the genre. Such musical collaborations, increasingly common on the contemporary scene, are intended to give the anniversary concert a fresh and unexpected character.

The stage also featured legends of Polish country music, who have helped shape the history of the genre in our country over the years. Performers included Lonstar, Tomasz Szwed, Zbigniew Hofman, Ryszard Wolbach, Lech and Bożena Makowieccy, Gang Marcela, Alicja Boncol, Janusz Nestarowicz & Colorado, Mariusz Kalaga and Cezary Makiewicz with his band. The organisers also ensured that the younger generation of performers was well represented.

The audience was treated to performances by, amongst others, Klaudia Magika – the only Polish artist whose songs feature on the national charts in the USA – as well as Karolina Bułas, Droga na Ostrołękę featuring Wojciech Dudkowski and Maja Bogucka, and the band Ślad. As a result, the anniversary concert combined tradition with a fresh take on country music.
