POLISH FILM AWARDS GALA “EAGLES” 2026

The Polish Oscars have been handed out. At the 28th Eagles Awards ceremony, the Polish Film Academy honoured the best Polish films and TV series.

This year, a record-breaking 69 productions competed for nominations and awards in the Best Film category. During the gala, awards were presented in 20 categories, with the best Polish titles of the past year being selected.

On 4 March, Krystyna Janda received this year’s first Eagle Award for Lifetime Achievement. As well as the statuettes awarded by the Polish Film Academy, filmmakers also had the opportunity to win the Audience Award, which is highly regarded in the film industry. This year’s ceremony was hosted by the actor Andrzej Konopka, who has been nominated twice for awards in supporting roles in the films Dom dobry and LARP. Miłość, trolle i inne questy”.

Wojciech Smarzowski’s “Dom dobry” dominated this year’s Polish Film Awards Eagle nominations, receiving 13 nominations in 12 categories. Ultimately, the production received five statuettes, including those for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Film. Michał Kwieciński’s Chopin, Chopin!, which was nominated eight times, also won four awards. Two statuettes went to 'Ministrants’, 'There Are No Ghosts in the Apartment on Dobra Street’, and 'Trains’. The audience award went to Piotr Domalewski’s “Ministrants”.
